Awareness Through Movement® Lessons
A.T.M.’s are group lessons that emphasize self-paced, relaxed
learning. Students explore verbally guided sequences of movement
to become aware of old habits and learn new choices for effective
action.
Functional Integration® Lessons
During these private lessons (F.I.’s) students are assisted
in discovering efficient patterns of action through the instructive
touch and guidance of a skilled practitioner. Specific areas of
interest, injury or concern may be addressed.
Founder Moshe Feldenkrais drew strongly on his
practice of Judo and its emphasis on creating the greatest effect
with the least effort. His fundamental understanding of efficient
and dynamic movement is made explicit in both forms of Feldenkrais
lessons.
